We've tested and reviewed these electronic vehicles for you. Now, you can choose the right one you'll love!
Electric vehicles are here to stay with their growing popularity. Be liberated from the usual constraints of standard vehicles’ design like weight and gearing, e-vehicle methods have exploded!
Everything and anything you can imagine has been built. There are mountain bikes, road bikes, and folding bikes too! You can even find beach cruisers, electric scooters, mobility scooters, and electric wheelchairs. There’s undoubtedly something for everyone.
The beauty of e-vehicles is that they make the joy of traveling so accessible to so many people and in so many different ways.
Let’s take a look at the e-bike.
So, if you’re looking for an e-bike and you know which style you’d like, here are some types or classes of e-bikes you should consider. The U.S. has three classes that are defined by the kind of motor that propels you. Most electric bikes that are sold are class 1 or 3. Class 1 bikes have a max 750w motor that helps your pedaling, even as fast as 20 mph.
Class 3, or “speed pedelec,” can have up to a 750w motor (or one horsepower), but it can help you pedal as fast as 28 mph. Both of these types are allowed in most states and cities without a license.
Class 2 models, on the other hand, have a throttle that can propel your bike up to 20 mph and stay there without having to pedal always.
E-bikes usually have motors and battery options. Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano, Bafang, and Brose are all suppliers of these motors and batteries. The Yamaha system has more torque, where Bosch’s Active Line is almost silent. But, for the most part, all four suppliers have good options. Look at the motor output (in torque), the total power.
For most e-bikes, the battery range is more important than their total power since they’re all mighty. You want an e-bike that can deliver a battery range long enough for your rides at your desired power levels. Most e-bikes have three-five pedal help levels that kick in anywhere from 25% of your pedal power up to 200%.
Think about this.
How fast does the battery take to charge? This is especially important if you’ll be needing your e-bike for long distances. And remember this, if you don’t settle for less than a turbo, you’ll get the least amount of battery range (but the most fun) from your battery.
As more and more e-bike options pop up, brands integrate batteries more effectively, making the bike look sleeker, more like a bicycle. Most batteries attach to the bike and with a key, so you unlock and remove it. This is good for charging the battery, guarding against thieves, and putting it on a bike rack. It’s also lighter to carry up steps.
Let me tell you…
Extra control is also crucial because e-bikes are capable of faster speeds for more extended periods than standard bicycles. Wider tires allow better traction so you can leave the pavement with ease, and a suspension fork will help glide over the rougher roads. Make sure you get good disc brakes, too, for slowing down a heavy bike at high speed. You shouldn’t skimp on this.
Some e-bikes also come with a built-in lighting system. While this is a great feature, it’s not a deal-breaker. There are so many bike lights on the market. You can always attach your own. The same goes for rear racks. Some have one. Some don’t.
But, what about e-scooters?
Electronic scooters are such fun and handy things to have in your life! They’re great for commuting somewhere quickly! Some even come with a phone application, which allows you to see your scooter’s stats in an easy-to-use feature!
When it comes to choosing an e-scooter, you’ll need to consider the motor, the maneuverability, and noise levels, to name a few. It’s important to know whether you’d need headlights and brake lights, for if you’ll be using it when it’s dark.
Some e-scooters can fold up into a smaller unit for easy storage if you are using it to go to work.
But wait, there’s more!
Thanks to modern technology, there’s another great invention to help the older generation or the disabled. With the beautiful e-wheelchairs, your worry about commuting is finally over!
When it comes to electronic wheelchairs, it’s essential to look at a few things:
We’ve tested the best ones for you so you can choose the best one!
These electronic vehicles are great for people who can’t walk easily by themselves or who can’t walk at all. They make traveling so much easier! But, as with anything, there are different kinds of mobility scooters to choose from.
Consider the following features before buying one:
But, have no fear!
We’ve tested all the best electronic vehicles so that you can ride in style! But, how did we try them?
Our experienced team of testers uses e-bikes of all types in their daily routines. They’ve spent countless hours and miles on e-bikes. They’ve traveled to and from work, stocked up on groceries and beer, tested their passenger-hauling possibilities, used them on rough terrain, and run the batteries down to see exactly how long they last on a charge.
They also evaluated the e-bikes on performance, price, comfort, handling, value, reliability, fun, aesthetics, and overall e-factor. With all that, they came up with a list of e-vehicles that’ll best meet the needs of anyone looking for a great ride.
